Needs to be done before he dies. Would be a hell of a moment at halftime of a game. Crowd would go nuts.

Jersey retirement is generally discouraged nowadays

Good time for TRIVIA-

How many Saints #s are retired? Which ones? For who?
* Answer must be from a sub30 yo poster

He's already immortalized with the statue. I think the jersey retirement should be reserved for Brees level players.

I wouldn't want it retired when I'm alive if I was Steve.

I know it's 6 total numbers:

8 Archie
26 Deuce
51 Mills
57 Jackson
?? Taylor
?? ?????

Don't know taylor's number or the last guy's name or number.

I'm pretty sure Mills, Rickey, and Deuce don't have their numbers retired.

as much as I love the guy, a statue is enough for a mediocre special teams player

If you're going by banners in the Dome....

Archie
Rickey

Pistol Pete

Dave Dixon

And Tulane won the Liberty Bowl

Pretty sure the answers are Jim Taylor and Doug Atkins. The banners hanging in the Dome aren't truly retired.

I don't remember numbers. Taylor might have been #31?

And I'm under 30
