Apparently he loved making "As I Lay Dying" and wants to make another movie in Mississippi. The Help, O Brother where art thou, My dog skip, and As I lay dying. It seems Mississippi is the place to make movies based on the south

ok new orleans wis, but I would Say Mississippi is the best when it comes to filming country, and the old times. Partially cause we are so far behind in everything, and nothing has really changed due to poverty

It's the only place to truly convey backwoods redneckedness.

Always wondered why Alabama has not been able to get any movies filmed there.

Hell Sweet Home Alabama was filmed in Georgia.

Probably something with the tax breaks surrounding states offer.

I only know this because I remember Donna Pinciotti going on Conan talking about how much she hated Cullman. Conan kinda made her sound like a bitch.

Due Date was filmed in Tuscaloosa. There was a a Steve Buscemi movie filmed on Huntington's campus in Montgomery a few years back. I think some movies have been filmed in the Mobile area.

Since Due Date, the city of Tuscaloosa has started a commission to attract more Hollywood studios to film there

Is this a good thing for Mississippi? Franco routinely makes abysmal career choices. This movie will, in all likelihood, suck.
