how is the state of LSU football now vs when Miles took over?

serious question....no flame
What do you think the state of the LSU football program is this offseason (if Miles were to leave) vs the state of the program during the offseason that Miles was hired?
Better?
Worse?
About same?
expanded reasoning welcomed
(obviously the game has changed & the landscape of CFB has changed also....but it's just for conversational purpose)
FWIW, I think it's certainly not worse but closer to same than better.

It's the same or better talent wise. Unfortunately our coach isn't to good with in game coaching.

It would be hard to get better than year in year out contender... But staying in that category for 10 years is very impressive. People don't understand that.

if a 5 is the same and a 10 is a 100% improvement, then we're about a 7 right now. Recruiting has been the most impressive to sustain

you set up the scale, it could have been 1-10.
1 being the same
10 being better.

how'd LSU win all those games? magic?

And it's a snapshot evaluation on the state of the program this offseason vs the state of the program the offseason Miles took over.
Said differently, if Joe Blow head coach had taken over 10 years ago instead of Miles or same Joe Blow head coach takes over this offseason...is he inheriting a better or worse situation?

Even more money and better facilities now that in 2004 and a similar level of talent and recruiting base/pipelines. All in all probably about the same or slightly better.

That and eating grass occasionally

this is undeniable

worst argument in the history of sports
kids aren't going to come straight out of high school and win 80% of their games in the SEC with no/poor coaching just because they were 4 and 5 stars.

WORST. never reached potential. Alabama is now, what we would have been with Saban staying or a better hire

great talent. 8-4. less than adequate qb playing in front of a more talented/heralded freshman.
a successful coach on his way out for his "dream job"

How'd we lose 2 games in our national championship year when there wasn't a team close to us talent wise. Also to answer your question, the reason we win all these games is because of John Chavis.

Better facilities and.....Miles has maintained what Saban started...to what degree of success is debatable.

LSU was the Rising SUPERSTAR when MILEs took over. He walked into a job with the most talented roster in the country. The Reason SABaN did not want to leave, was the shot at a NC for the for seeable future and it took the owner to fly to Baton Rouge on a Thursday after Saban turned the JOB down and offer the KEYS to the franchise, the highest paid coaching staff in the NFL absolute full and total control./// Miles took over and managed to lose 2 Games a year and JIMBO FISHER was asked when he took the Fla St Head Coaching job in waiting, said in a Radio interview that 06 LSU if Miles wouldn't have taken the play calling away at Half time we would have beaten Auburn by 3 TDs(HIS WORDS)and blown chance for a NC ....UNDER MILES WE have gone from FIRST, when he took over AND NOW 10 YEARS latter the BOTTOM half Of the SEC WEST. AFTER SABAN RECRUITS LEFT MILES HAS BEEN AVG at best. BEFORE LSU HIS RECORD WAS 4-7 /8-5 / 9-4/ 5-7 at Oak St. And that's who he is AVG.
this post is so littered with stupidity on don't even know where to begin
