Events in the Area More Expensive than the LSU-USC Tickets

Here are some events in the area coming up that cost more than attending the LSU game this weekend:
- Criss Angel - $56-85
- Jerry Seinfeld - $47-122
- Disney Live Fairy Tales - Up to $60
- Nutcracker: A Tale from the Bayou - Up to $43
- Ragtime - Up to $55
- Florida-Georgia Line - Up to $54
- Ariana Grande - Up to $68
- Trans Siberian Orchestra - Up to $75
LSU fans love to pride themselves on being the best fans in the country and having the best home field advantage in the country, and we can't sell more than 40,000 seats for an extra home game?
The ticket prices are reasonable and the profit goes to a good cause.
If we don't get at least 60,000 people in Tiger Stadium on Saturday, I never want to see a link to a rankings list with people complaining about LSU not being the #1 fanbase or #1 home field advantage.
We have a chance to see the greatest football player in LSU history play a lagniappe game in person. Let's fill up Death Valley.

Needs versus wants...in 2015 people seem to have a problem with this concept.
ETA: If paying $75 for a ticket to a football game is too much, so be it. But don't expect the price to drop below fair market value to accommodate your want...focus on needs.
LSU's prices are in line, or cheaper, than many other SEC programs...this is the way it is.

We need these people to go to the concert....away from the game.

even if a 100,000 tickets get sold, only 20,000 people or so will be in the stands after half time.

Its a little hard to make plans 3 days in advance. Do you realize most of our fan base come from all around Louisiana and the surrounding area. I know 4 different people that come from over 3 hours away every gameday.
Dan Borne can't make it, we should probably not allow him to call another game because he isn't a good tiger fan.
Get real. People have made plans and or don't have ample time to make plans to make it to the game. It doesn't mean they are bad fans, it doesn't mean we don't support our school, it is just the simple fact that a large number of fans have to go through a large amount of planning to make it every home game.

Nah...many get that plans were made and they are hard to undo.
That being said, there are people bitching not about plans but about pricing...and the "heat"...and the sun...and the opponent, etc.

How many of these events can you watch from the comfort of your own living room on a giant HD television screen?
Some people who are in lower tax brackets don't feel like shelling out $40/ticket to sit in the hot arse sun during a three-hour football game against a conference opponent that might only win four games.
Plus, most of those events you alluded to don't happen multiple times each year.

I'll buy tickets soon.

I get this, but we shouldn't see any more threads about how horrible us season ticket holders are after this week.
