Stop whining for a second and assume we win out. Say what you want but we're better than Arky, Ole Miss, and A&M. If we play like we did in the first 7 games, we win. We won out in 2012 and 2013 after losing to Bama. Don't give me that post-Bama collapse BS. Yes I watched the game last night. Yes it was ugly. But Bama ain't on the schedule the rest of the year.

If that happens obviously the easiest way to get in is to have Bama lose one more and then beat UF in the CG. Do that and we're in. End of discussion.

But if that doesn't here's how we can maybe still get there. In either of these scenarios we probably have a better case if UF beats Bama in the CG:

Scenario 1: Two two loss conference champs

Pac 12
- Stanford loses to Oregon then wins out and beats Utah in the title game. Finishes 11-2
-UCLA beats Utah then beats Stanford in the title game. Finishes 11-2

B1G
-tOSU beats MSU then loses to Michigan. Michigan beats Iowa in th CG. Finishes 11-2.

ND
-Loses to Stanford and finishes 10-2

We probably make it in as an at large over all three two loss teams:

1. Clemson
2. Baylor / Okie Lite
3. UF / Bama
4. LSU?

Scenario 2: Two one loss champs with UGLY losses during the year

ACC
-UNC beats Clemson in the CG. Ugly loss to a bad USCe team.

Big XII
-OU wins out and wins the conference. Ugly loss to a horrible Texas team.

ND
Loses go Stanford and finishes 10-2.

We're at least in the convo versus UNC and OU (and I guess one loss Clemson):

1. tOSU
2. UF / Bama
3. Stanford
4. UNC or OU or Clemson or LSU?

Or you could have a combo of the two scenarios above. I think we fare better with scenario 1 than 2. But either way, just trying to show that there's still something to play for

There's a lot to play far. You don't just give up before the season is over like our fans do.

That's been the problem in the past. It's up to the entire coaching staff and the players to make sure that doesn't happen this year. I believe we can play with anyone who didn't design their team to beat us. Alabama will simply have to beat themselves....Again!!

Two separate scenarios. Reading comprehension bruh.

It happens. I tried to make it as non-wall-o-text as possible

Sorry but Michigan would not be in Champ Game under that scenario. If OSU beats MSU, Michigan can not leap frog OSU in any rankings even by beating them. I think they have the tie breaker of whoever is highest ranked if 3 teams are tied. That would be a 1 loss OSU. LSU shot at the playoffs is over unless Bama loses to State or AU and LSU wins out. The Sugar Bowl against Big 12 champ/ best team is their true destination now. LSU needs to win out regardless. I think the CFP will put the emphasis of winning your conference to get in the playoffs bc of what happened in 2011.

In order to get in, we have to play our asses off from here on out, and if things shake right, we could back in. One thing everyone needs to remember, this is a damned young team and most of it will be back next year, which is when I would be looking at making a serious run. That said, I'll be happy as hell if we got in this year no matter how it happened.

Isnt it awesome how all of our fans will criticize our team for giving up while their fatasses sit behind their computers, and then give up on the season themselves?

Fwiw I'm like 70% negatiger and even I think it's asinine to throw the towel in on the season

I guess if LSU wins out and looks good while doing it, and some chaos happens in front of them, then yeah. But likely the sugar bowl is best bet.

MSU would have two conference losses. OSU and Michigan would have 1 (remember UM lost to Utah not another B1G team). Michigan has the H2H win and goes to the CG. Pretty clear cut man.

My bad I forgot MSU lost to Nebraska. Under that scenario UM would jump into the playoffs. The committee would look at them beating 2 undefeated teams to win the Big 10. OSU came out of nowhere to get the 4 seed last year bc of what they did in Champ Game. If UM wins out like you say, the committee would take a 2 loss Big 10 champ at 11-2 over a 10-1 LSU team who failed to make the SEC champ game.
