LED Bulbs and Surge Protection

I am transitioning my light bulbs one-by-one from incandescent to LED. Do I need to offer any protection to these bulbs that normally would not apply to incandescent? How about smart bulbs (wifi or bluetooth enabled LED bulbs)? Am I going to risk losing a swath of bulbs after a storm comes through?

I've never had any issue with LEDs during storms or anything else. Smart bulbs are not cost efficient and only useful for being lazy

My power bill since putting in all LED bulbs is down about $15-20/month. I'll break even after about 7-8 months due to big deals found on slickdeals

I bought 4-90 watt equivalent led flood bulbs and I spent 93 dollars. Them bitches ain't cheap.

Those bulbs are 'computerized' just like clocks, dishwasher, and computers. If anything needs protection, then everything needs that protection.
