Chrome cast and Watch ESPN is working for me too.

Okay thank you. I ask because I watch on every device possible.. iPad, Roku, Amazon Firestick, we browser, iPhone, and chromecast..
And the chromecast is the only one to drop audio for some weird reason on one of my tvs.
Try this.. Change your input on your tv back to your cable (if you have cable hooked up to it) or just change your input on your tv to anything with autio..
Then change your input back to to the chromecast input and you may have sound again. That has worked for me

My sound is delayed on fire stick

One other thing that is strange is that I only have this sound issue when using the chromecast on one particular tv.. It never happens on any other tv I use with it..
It always starts out with sound and will eventually drop sound..
But changing input to tv then back has brought sound back and kept it back.
Let me know if you have any luck.
Also, may I ask what kind of tv you have?

That worked it's a VIZIO. I have never had this issue before I watch games like this all the time.

This happens to me every game. When the broadcast comes back from commercial break, pause it for about 10 sec and then turn it back on. Sound will be good until next commercial break. Can't explain why....

Same, the one I have the issue with is my dads Vizio. I have other Vizio's no issue ever with chromecast audio but for whatever reason it always cuts out with watchESPN to chromecast on his.. And only solution I have found this far is switching inputs back and forth.
Maybe try switching the hdmi inputs around next time as well just for the heck of it.

I might have found a solution.
Rename the hdmi input on your tv to chromecast
To do this click menu on your remote.. Then go to devices.. Then go to whatever hdmi input you have it plugged into.. Select and and rename it.. And save..
Then go back to your newly named input

Another thing I just did that boosted my audio..
Go to menu- then audio settings- turn surround sound off- then turn it back on
This might be the issue.. Because with it on it initially goes louder but drops down..so actually try with it off !
Just turned my surround sound off and now my audio is loud. But it fades back as well so idk the issue
The commercials are loud though. Not sure what the deal is but hope you keep your audio

LSU1997 do what I said and you shouldn't lose audio any more. Switch inputs back and forth. Also try renaming your hdmi input if you can
I'm on a mission to fix this now..
I keep having audio eventually lower then I go to menu settings and switch around surround sound and it boosts the audio back, but only for a brief moment
I'm going to try turning volume leveling off but keep surround sound on!
So far so good!

This is much better. Sorry to keep bumping but I might have found the solution
Just switch between surround sound and eventually leave it on
Then turn off sound leveling!!!
Working great now!!

When my net gets weak I lose either audio or video. Roku is awesome at keeping both regardless of net speed.

Our fix on visio tv was to turn audio sound leveling setting to off and it fixed this problem on the games.
