Anyone graduate from the Tulane energy management program or know someone who has? Graduating undergrad in Petroleum Engineering soon and considering this since no one is hiring worth shite. It's only 10 months which makes it more attractive than other graduate programs. Wanted to know the OT's thoughts

As a rule of thumb, doubling down on the same field you're experiencing employment issues with is not a good idea.

MS Finance with concentration in Energy could take you places.

Not sure how these 2 are similar.

I was thinking it would be a good idea to learn more about the business side of things while I wait for the industry to turn around. Obviously I would rather work an entry level job as a roustabout or something to gain some practical knowledge but I can't find a job doing anything right now

If you're just keen on throwing money around, why not get an MBA? It takes a little longer but far more broad and practical than Energy Management. Both are extremely expensive resume bullet points for someone in your position.
There are jobs, just not cushy downtown Houston corner office jobs with signing bonuses. Midland is a fine town...

If you are on student loans = bad idea
If mom and dad or trust fund got the ticket = have fun and go for it
