Gonzales officer arrested for sex with 14 year old. Update pg13 Bond 125k

At the end of Lanoux’s shift Monday night, he had set up a rendezvous with a girl through a social media site. Lanoux, of Prairieville, picked up the girl, who he says he believed was 18, in his unmarked sheriff’s vehicle and had sex with her, Wiley said.
Sometime later, Lanoux learned through the dispatch radio in his sheriff’s vehicle that deputies were looking for a 14-year-old runaway girl, Wiley said.

Well he had sex with a 14 year old in a police car... that is pretty bad. Much worse than the teacher who had sex with a 17 year old student.

I guess the one thing he has going for him is that he was lead to believe she was 18 and wasnt pursuing a 14yr old girl

but a 31 year old with a 18 year old is still pretty fricked up. I believe he abused his authority to get in what he believed to be an 18 year olds panties.

If what he says was true, he was a victim of fraud not ignorant of the law.

If a 14 year old is claiming to be 18, I think a carding is warranted. I know "they dont make them like they used to" but 14 is 14, that's a huge leap from 18.
