Betman's statement to the Detroit Free Press

Hope this wasn't discussed to death on here. I haven't been to lurk very much the past few days. However, I believe Skip Bertman's statement said a lot about the situation. Michigan was making a last ditch effort to try and get Miles. End of story. I know Skip Bertman gets straight to the point and I don't think he could have straighter than that.

They talked about it on ESPN yesterday. He said something like Michigan is uspet because they are not getting what they want, which is Les Miles as their coach. Miles signed a contract and they need to move on. He also said that LSU was the better job because they are the only college in the state and etc.

No offense meant but I think Skip's statement was accurate...I think the word "major" was implied!
It's one of many recognized advantages of coaching at LSU...they're the only "major" game in town.
UM has Michigan State to compete with...
Auburn has Alabama....
Miss. State has Ole Miss...
South Carolina has Clemson...
Texas A&M has UT...
Florida has Florida St. and Miami...
LSU has ?.....ULM

Exactly Moots, he was implying that LSU really had to instate rival to compete with over recruits and etc.
