Is it possible the press unwittingly suppressed Dem vote?

They were basically all in with the whole Hillary 80% chance to win.
Now. A ton of Hillary voters didn't actually like her.
I wonder how many figured, f it, she's going to win.
I think they were trying to demoralize the Trump vote and it backfired

I'm sure there's something to that theory, which leads me to question why a media in bed with one candidate would forecast something like that. obviously the idea is to suppress opposition enthusiasm but to me that would only work against an incumbent, or an incumbent party

The media has never understood where Trump's support comes from. They believed their own schtick about us being nothing but a bunch of racist rednecks.
Meanwhile, they also never wanted to admit to themselves how deeply even Democrats disliked Hillary.

that is absolutely certain, great point
amazing how so many influential people with the resources at their disposal missed judged this so poorly. all the way back to last June
