Does Trump's FairTax promise have a chance?

This would be huge. Is he able to push it through or will the establishment headwinds require that he cave on it?

Has he ever addressed it, directly? I would sport more freedom wood if so. That's my #1 on my elected official wish list.
With a National Retail Sales Tax, it takes the sting out of much of the illegal immigration debate, because at least you know that anybody drawing breath in the country is consuming products. It doesn't change the overarching immigration discussion, but it ensures that until a solution can be implemented, then they're contributing in the meantime.

Yes. And it is central to his economic policy plan, as I understand it.
Longtime Trump supporters on this board may be able to offer an informed opinion of whether they think he will follow through or if it is one of his "negotiating" positions.
