Multiple sources say that the LA Galaxy have recently extended an offer to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one that would bring him to the club this summer and pay him what would easily be the highest salary in MLS history.

Yeah. Gio Dos Santos, Romain Alessandrini and Jelle Van Damme. Kinda lackluster for what the Galaxy's DP trio used to be.

Ibra is only like 250 grand away. I don't see LA matching or exceeding that.

As we've seen before, they will allow it. If zlatan wants to go to galaxy he will go.

I have heard that LA may be able to pay down one of their DPs with TAM and GAM. A lot of money went off the books when Gerrard and Keane retired. Well, when Gerrard retired and Keane was not offered a new contract.

They'd probably try to pay down van Damme if they had to, but they might not need to.

If Zlatan wants to come to MLS, you bet your arse the league will magic up a 4th DP spot out of nowhere, especially for the Galaxy, who have always gotten some special treatment. I'd love to see Zlatan in MLS.

It would be kind of funny if he blew off the Galaxy to sign as a DP for LAFC next year.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Chicharito and/or Andres Guardado come to MLS this summer. Zlatan or Rooney would seem more of a stretch, but you never know. Five years ago a player like Giovinco wouldn't be in MLS, either.

Can you imagine 2 Mexican national team players and Zlatan as DPs for LAFC? Would get that franchise off to one hell of start and likely switch many Galaxy fans that don't want to go to Carson for games.

Chivas USA didn't work, but that was a mess from the start. LAFC has big money and a solid plan in place. I think it'll be very successful, especially with big-name DPs.

Why would Zlatan have any desire to go to MLS? He is old but is still playing at a top level in the best league in the world and is getting paid handsomely for it.

There is nothing in the works at this time.
I have no desire to conquer America for at least another year, so you're safe, little Peter.
