Not sure what the category would be called but two that I have read and were excellent are "The Taking of Getty Oil" and "The Prize". The end of getty can get confusing trying to keep straight what firms and groups are representing who but overall a great read. "The Prize" I actually still have to go back and finish the last bit.
Any other recommendations for similar books?

Not sure this answers your question, but my suggestion is to read biographies about well known business people. For example, I read a bio about Hershey (chocolate) and it was fascinating.
