Note for anyone starting Eagles

Eagles coach Doug Pederson has indicated that he will consider benching his starters if the Eagles clinch home field. The Eagles will clinch home field if the Vikings lose to the Packers on Saturday, and the Eagles don't play until Monday.
So if you own and are planning to start any Eagles, make sure to pay attention to the Vikings/Packers outcome and see if Pederson says anything more on the subject.

At the very least, I would expect them to sit Foles. He had a pretty good game last week (against a shite New York team), and if he goes down, they are sunk.

Don't really think anyone has to worry since the Packers will be starting Hundley.

The dude has only played one game. He needs reps!

What's more important for Philly at this point, getting him reps, or having him for the playoffs?
If he gets knocked out playing in a game that does nothing for them, they are screwed for the playoffs.
I see your point, but I just don't agree with it. They have no other option this late in the season.

Vikings aren't losing to Packers

Yea I don't know. If it were me, I'd at least play Foles since he's only had one start. But that's just what their coach said. Worth monitoring at the least.

shite. I got Alshon.. Got Kupp and Desean Jackson on the bench. What should I do?

The Eagles are not benching Foles for this Sunday
He's gotten minimal reps all season and will need as much as he can get before the playoffs start. Now if they're winning by 30 heading into the 4th quarter then I can see the starters getting rest.
Coaches don't think like this. Having his players get extended rest 2+ weeks isn't beneficial to any team.

Well luckily the Vikings play Sarurday and will probably win. So just monitor it for now.

Maybe not 2+ weeks, but if he plays this week, I doubt he plays in week 17.
If they lose Foles, they have NO CHANCE in the playoffs.
All you have to do is look at Oakland last year and see what happens when you have mediocre QBs in the playoffs. They went from stud to dud with one injury.
Maybe he doesn't sit him, maybe he does. I don't even really think it comes to that, because it would take nothing short of a Christmas miracle for Green Bay to beat Minnesota.

Same thing just happened to the Eagles except Foles is a serviceable QB. They'll likely go 0-1 to one of the NFC South teams.
The Eagles will likely play their starters for the 1st half in Week 17 if that's the case but there's no way they're missing MNF this week especially when it's on primetime

Technically 4 weeks
Week 15 > 16 > 17 > BYE > Divisional
