Has anyone read any good books on the Arab-Israeli war, or the 6-Day war? Or it could be anything dealing with the build up that brought on these conflicts.
TIA

If you're interested in novels (historical fiction), Leon Uris had a couple of good books. Milta Pass about actual fighting in the conflict and Exodus about the European Jews getting to Israel and setting up the state and the conflicts involved therein.

Herman Wouk The Hope and The Glory (essentially a two volume novel - this is the definitive historical fiction work on the subject)
Exodus and The Haj by Leon Uris - both cover the Palestinian struggle in general - Exodus more from Jewish POV and The Haj from Arab POV
Although historical fiction, much to be gained from reading these four books.
