This year’s nominations are out.
I’ve read two: Spinning Silver and Record of a Spaceborn Few. Both were very good. Anyone familiar with any of the others? None of them sound that interesting to me.

Space Opera is pretty good, though nowhere near Valente's best stuff.
Revenant Gun is the third in a very good series. It starts with Ninefox Gambit, which I think was also Hugo nominated. The author actually lives in Baton Rouge.
I just picked up Trail of Lightning from the library. I'm looking forward to it.
