Uruguay's last hurrah. Copa America

Suarez and cavani and godin are getting long in the tooth.
They'd love to beat Brazil at Brazil and take down Argentina too if they meet along the way.
The Uruguay defense depends on the terrific two way star Edison cavani.
He went down with a calf injury in world cup and uruguay played france without him and eventual champ france sliced them up with ease.
With him they can win on great defense and corner kicks and Suarez/cavani.
Cavani scored on the prettiest goal you will ever see before he went down.
Long pass to Suarez on left.
Suarez hits cavani on right in stride across the pitch and cavani puts it in.
Nothing finer.
The Uruguay u20 and u19 have done well in recent years but the country is only 3.5 million and it's a small DNA pool.
This is the last shot in big time international for cavani/suarez et al.
Mostly south America. Japan is decent guest.
Brazil hosts the whole thing.
Yeehah.
So jazzed. Started this one before I saw the one with the schedule and hotties.

I think he’s making a point that their time is running out. But I get your point too lol

He had his day.
Suarez' biting undermined that run.
Reminds of Green of GSW.

Yep. Cavani injury during last win before france may be looked upon as high water mark of these guys.
Locally if they beat brazil to win this Copa it will be like lsu beating bama in week 8 in 2019. So sweet it does not matter that is not world cup.

Since when is that a disadvantage?

Me too.
The first goal v Ecuador was punished by hitting scorer in the face soon after.
Cavani rubbed it in when he scored later. 4-0.

Since having a billion people, like China, means you have a 1,000 people of whatever size, speed, coordination it takes to do any given sport at the highest level.
