Do I accept this trade?

10-Team PPR IDP Keeper League (.5pts per carry)
I trade Saquon Barkley and I get Melvin Gordon and Julio Jones.
Each team gets 5 offensive keepers
We haven't had our draft yet so as of now I'd be keeping 5 of these 7(Still Undecided):
QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Saquon Barkely
RB: Dalvin Cook
WR: Kenny Golladay
WR: DJ Moore
WR:
TE: Travis Kelce
RB/WR: Phillip Lindsay
I also get 1st pick in the draft.

Players aren’t tied to a round?
Example; keeping Barkley won’t cost you a 1st?

No. Each team gets to pick 5 offensive and 5 defensive keepers. The 7 I have listed I need to narrow down to 5 by the keeper deadline in a few weeks. All dropped players go to the draft and I have first pick since the guy's team I'm taking over finished 10th last season.

You absolutely take that trade.

Absolutely do not take that trade. Give me Barkley all day.

I wouldn’t
I’d keep Barkley, cook, Kielce, Lindsey, and then either golladay or Moore.
Then with the first pick (assuming all the tier 1 wr and rb and gone I’d get the best available one.

I'd take that trade all day.
You then have two Tier 1 RBs and a Tier 1 WR, as opposed to 2 Tier 1 RBs and a couple Tier 3 or 4 WRs.
Your team is way better with Gordon/Cook/Julio than Barkley/Cook.

Jesus. If I could start my year with Watson, Gordon, Cook, Julio, and Kelce...I just...damn.

I'd take it in a heartbeat if it were a redraft league but the only thing that has me thinking is the longevity of Julio. This is my first keeper league ever so new to the whole keeper thing but while Julio is still a stud he did just hit 30yrs old and has a history of foot injuries (nursing a foot injury as of a month ago.) If he regresses over the next couple of years then in the long term the trade might end up looking like I traded Barkley for Gordon.

WRs don't age out as quickly as RBs. Julio still has a good 2-3 in him. You can get another stud between now and then.
In the meantime, you'll have a stacked roster with a great chance of winning a couple championships.

Ask yourself which side do you prefer:
Saquon
Kelce
Cook
Moore
Lindsay
or
Melvin
Julio
Kelce
Cook
Moore/Lindsay
I think I might stay put, but I don't hate the offer at all. Saquon is a phenomenal asset. Would you trade Saquon + Moore/Lindsay for Melvin + Julio cause that's the true cost of the deal to you?

Ideally, I'd prefer Gordon/Julio in the short term but with both their injury histories, Gordon's potential holdout, and Julio getting up in age I'm leaning more toward sticking with Barkley. A lotta talk in our league about switching to a dynasty which makes me lean even more toward Barkley.
I'll hijack my own thread because I have to ask why Moore over Golladay? I was leaning Golladay as he tends to be ranked 5-10 spots higher than Moore and because of Cam's shoulder issue.

Since it is a keeper league, I would keep Watson as he should have top 3 QB upside every year moving forward.
However, VKC has presented the decision appropriately. Would you prefer to keep:
Watson
Saquon
Kelce
Cook
Moore /Lindsay
or
Watson
Melvin
Julio
Kelce
Cook
I think Moore has long term upside than Lindsey.
I would probably try to forecast who will be available in the first two rounds of your draft, then make the trade/keeper decision.
I don’t think there is a wrong decision in this trade; I would use your gut since you will have to live with it.
Also remember, Saquon may get you even more trade value at a later date.

I’d easily take that if you believe Gordon plays this season

Ha ! Nice problem. A tough call, but I lean to taking the trade.

I have a question about your league format. Each team can keep up to 10 players, so conceivably the top 50 offensive players are off the board come draft day? If that's the case I would lean towards taking it and securing top 50
type players because the depth left in the draft pool will all be mid-level.

Who will your trade partner keep if you don’t accept the trade? You have the first pick, will Gordon or Julio be the player he drops?
