How Should Golf Shoes Fit?

In the market for new shoes. I'm leaning towards spikeless and will use my old spiked shoes as back up for wet weather.
How are golf shoes supposed to fit? I've read most people wear the wrong size golf shoe and was wondering what I should be looking for. I see way more options now than ever before, wide fit, slimmer fit, spiked vs spikeless etc. Anyone got any advice?

It took me a long time to get on the spikeless bandwagon, but I’m sold. I have FJ flex and like them. My next pair will probably be Skechers.
As far as size, just see what fits. I’m not sure how you could mess that part up.

I'm looking at the Skechers Elite V.3 and the FootJoy Superlite XP which might be the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever felt.

I moved to a spikeless shoe post college because I wasn't all that concerned about slipping anymore. After two years I copped some Jordan golf shoes with spikes and I will never go back to spikeless. Personally, I noticed a significant change in torque within my hips and knees. I also don't walk as much as I used to.

Do you mind linking those?

I personally cannot use spikeless. I like the comfort of them, but cannot use them while swinging a club, I just slip too much
as for fit, I like mine to be snug without cutting off circulation. I have multiple pairs cleats, but the FJ Icons and DNA are my two favorite
I would say something that fits snug that doesn't feel like a clown shoe

Yeah, those are the ones that I have. The only issue I have is the original studs breaking or or loosing the teeth, so I have to replace every 3-4 months.

They aren't my look. They look like nurse's shoes in a hospital.

I’m a sneaker head. While I don’t like spikeless the current spiked shoes aren’t my look. Again I’m not walking much so it doesn’t matter - but these shoes are real comfortable - regardless of look.
