What's up with weekend amateurs playing with tour staff bags?

Look good, play good. But honestly, is it a bit of overkill? Sure.
But I'd be lying if I said I haven't nearly pulled the trigger on one of the newer Titleist Mid-Size Staff bags. They look great

If you never walk, nbd imo. But I'm also on the other end of the spectrum with a Jones Sunday bag.

What difference does it make?

I've seen beaucoup bag regret from folks who have staff bags since my home course removed the bag stands from the range a month ago. At least one bag gets blown over every time I'm there, and I've been to the course pretty much every day since March 16th.

You talking about cart bags or pro bags?

He's talking the pro/staff bags. The ones that are yuge. I guess if these people like enough storage to keep a break down rod and tackle box in as well, more power to them.

I’ve never liked the look of the staff bag, just a personal preference. What I carry in my bag could fit in a Sunday bag.
Range finder
6 golf balls
Extra glove
Rain hood
Tees
Divot tool.
I have a titleist hybrid 5 and love it. Has more than enough room and pockets.

To each his own friend. I love golf and play every free second I get but I swear it has the most fake arse culture around it. If you carry a bag like the pros you’re a loser. If you dress like the pros you’re a loser. It’s a “gentleman’s game” ....the greatest player of all time is just as known for being the most notorious poon hound of all time.

I used a big Titleist staff bag with my name on it for years. Got it free when I was young and in the PGA of America Apprentice Program. I got out of that program after about 6 months because I started to hate golf and my idea of getting into the golf business to be nearer to golf backfired on me. Still have the bag 20+ years later.
These days I typically walk nine holes with a tripod walking/push cart and the bag I use is a goofy looking pink and grey bag I got for $6.00 from Dicks Sporting goods. Usually listen to my radio or podcasts from my phone when I play.
I'm not a big fan of a lot of some of golf's requirements such as wearing collared shirts, certain kinds of shorts etc. I play fast, rarely putt out or keep score and often times my nine holes is a substitute for a bucket of balls at the range. Usually play late in the evening, hit extra shots here and there and chip and putt for practice too. My ideal round of golf would be 12 holes - that's enough.

I have this clipped on the bag jamming while I’m walking.

Why do you worry about what another grown man puts his golf clubs in?

I love the mid size Titleist staff bags - but my fat arse needs to walk when I can.

Bought a sun mountain 14 way 4.5 ls. Great bag. Super light. Has tons of pockets. No club tangle.
