It pisses me off how this has become the popular thing to say when it comes to our program. They say we lost too much from last season and we are on a downslide.Whats up with that? Do so-called football fans actually follow recruiting and coaching staffs?

Are they really saying we are on a downslide? Are we really not getting that much respect?
I see a LSU team picked to win the west by most pulblications and is given a great deal of respect.

We ain't going undefeated this year and I am starting to think there are alot of LSU fans that will not be happy until every media outlet out there says we will.

Dammit, Richard Murphy is going to win the heisman. Well, that is if he ends up starting.

I can't remember the last time we went undefeated and I think only one SEC team has done it in the past ten years. This is one tough year for the conference, but it still amazes me that there are those out there that think LSU whould win them all.

yeah i don't believe we will go undefeated but i really do believe we can make it to the sec champ game and have a shot at the MNC the big challenge will be at auburn if we can win that i believe IMHO that georgia is very overrated and will fold in TS. Florida on the other hand scares me in the swamp. If we can come out the reg season with one loss and play a rematch with florida in neutral territory i really believe we have a shot. We have a lot more talent on both sides than most are giving us credit for. It maybe my biased opinion but i dont think the MNC is that much of a reach for us.

Especially on the defense. I don't think the talent drop off is going to be much if any all all and I think the defensive line will be the best in the history of LSU football.

Going to be a great ride this year.

this seems to be the popular thing going around metro Atlanta. UGA fans eseem to think our window closed last year and with Perrilloux being dismissed, they really believe they are the future of the SEC

Tell them you have been hearing that every since Mark Richt became there coach. They are going to be a great team, but they have to tough of a schedule to make it to the big dance this year, so they need to be pre-pared to sit back and bitch again this year about being left out.

Put down the purple Kool-Aid.

I would be very happy this year with a 10-2 regular season... my guess would be 9-3.

i know georgia had their little run at the end of the year but why do they think they are the patriots all of a sudden. they had an impressive 12 point when over florida and a somewhat impressive win at home against auburn. But other than that nothing else. Stafford deserves an award for most overrated qb in the nation. Moreno may have a great year but he could also easily have a sophmore slump. People are putting a lot on the Hawaii win. But fail to realize hawaii HAD TO GO INTO OVERTIME TO BEAT LOUISIANA TECH.

LSU's undefeated seasons, 1908 (10-0), 1958 (11-0)................2008???? I see a 50 year pattern developing here.

No true Ranter would ever admit, pre season, that he would be happy with that record. 12-0, 14-0 is the goal for true happiness.

It's not at all that far-fetched to say that. We have a lot of talent coming back, but we did lose a lot and the weakness at qb position cannot be overstated. Now I hope that Lee or Hatch surprise and really come through, but reality says otherwise at this point.

None of the 'so called experts' are saying we are "rebuilding". They are saying we lost alot of senior leadership (which is true). That's a far cry from 'rebuilding'. We are replacing that leadership with equally (except at QB) talented guys.

Rebuilding is when you are bringing in freshman and redshirts trying to get back to where you were in years past. Reloading is when you are replacing lost talent with upper classmen (who are just as good or better at most positions), and who have the potential to be just as good as the leadership that was lost.

Its almost impossible to go undefeated, especially in the SEC. But that doesnt mean that it cant happen. We are a very talented team just as are the other teams we will play. It really comes down to who is the better team on game day, and thats what we have to wait for. So with that said,

That's what they said about the Bucks last year. Picked 3rd in the Big 10 and thought to go to the Cap One or Outback, and made the NCG. You never know.
