Why don’t more black Americans listen to *THIS* man?

Is it as basic a reason as he campaigned with an ‘R’ next to his name?
His wisdom knows no bounds.
He came from humble beginnings.
He’s a man of strong faith.
He cares about the black community and pounds the pavement constantly, reaching out to folks in the poorest communities.
I don’t get it.
I could listen to him speak for hours.

then that would mean you would have to take personal responsible in all phases of your life instead of living off of victimhood status and getting "free shite" from the government...now which one is the easier path?

Because he doesn’t get all James Brown like Rev. Al Sharpton when he gets in front of a microphone.

"Why isn't everyone like this extreme outlier?"

I didn’t ask why more people—myself included—weren’t “like him.”
I asked why more people didn’t listen to him.
He’s all over social media.
He writes books.
He communicates via YouTube.
His voice, though softly spoken, carries a powerful message.

I wouldn’t because he backed down the last time the media went after him.

Bc he's a coconut: black on the outside but white on the inside.

I’m curious ... are you black?
And is that (backing down from the media) why you don’t listen to him?
Thanks for your response.

I love the man.... great compassionate person! I never said I don’t listen to him, I was replying to voting for him.... remember when he backed out? If he would have stood his ground!?!
And why would you ask if I’m black?

Ahhh. Got it.
I’m not even referring to voting for him; just listening to his views and experiences.
Don’t mistake my comparison of Dr. Carson to the great MLK, Jr.—King was a legend—but both men have very similar ideologies.
They support nonviolent change.
What makes someone like Dr. King more impressionable on the black community as a whole, while Dr. Carson may as well not exist to them?

Because my question was about black Americans not listening to him, and you seemed to respond as though you were explaining why you didn’t.
Misunderstanding.

So just because a black man reaches any type of success or displays intelligence, he has to be white on the inside? Wow

It doesn’t matter what he exudes; he doesn’t come from Kennedy or Bush family environments.
