There is a note on The Rant about LSU fielding an ice hockey team. I don't know how to capture pictures to add here, but maybe one of you fantastic farkers could find a picture of an ice hockey player and deck him out in some different LSU uniforms. Let him slap shot that mean looking little dog, ha,ha.

I had to try and do a goalie - cuz I thought it would be fun to make a mask/helmet from scratch.... That cost me a couple hours of doing other useless stuff.

It was a labor of love. I am an avid hockey fan - the Stars are the only Texas-based team of any sport that I am a fan of. My friends and I all have season tickets and access to the VIP level (Hockey + Gran Marnier = GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD) at American Airline Center. The staff affectionately refers to us as "The Platinum Menace"....
I also have a picture of the Stanley Cup in my swimming pool from when they won it all in '99. . . . How it got there is another story....

yuintroubl-- that is reallyfantastic. Your labor of love was definitely worth the time. I'm sorry I'm late sayin' thanks but I haven't looked at the board since Friday when I asked for the fark. Now I gotta' go tell the folks on Rant to come see your fark!

they already have a hockey club team. i plan on planning in about 3 years after high school hah. hopefully they will be giving scholarships by then.

As I suspected, the Avalanche uniform colors were kinda hard to translate to LSU colors. The maroon/periwinkle (I guess that's the color) combo are both dark colors as far as contrast is concerned. The black padded shorts don't help either. That being said, I think this turned out pretty good....
I wanted a little more LSU color on there so I put a stripe on the helmet. Don't think anybody does this in actuality.
