Commissioner's office informed of Manny trade

Supposedly the league office has been informed of the trade between the Red Sox, Marlins, and Pirates involving Manny Ramirez, Jason Bay, and minor league prospects. However, the deal is not official because the prospects have not been agreed upon.
Here's how it is projected to look:
Marlins get: Manny Ramirez, one prospect (BOS), and cash (Ramirez's remaining salary)
Pirates get: Jeremy Hermida, three prospects (two from FLA, one from BOS)
Red Sox get: Jason Bay and John Grabow
All of this is according to Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus.

I'm happy, because I really think this can hurt the future of the Marlins.
But at the same time, I'm sad. It's really unfortunate to see Manny's career as a Red Sox member end.

I know. I'm gonna miss him as a part of the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry.

It seems very likely that they would have to give up one of their better prospects if the were going to get Ramirez. So yes, I bet Maybin is involved.

According to Peter Gammons, trade talks will continue late into the night and into Thursday. But, this is what the trade will look like. All the big name players are in place. It now just comes down to the prospects.

Yeah true, but I'm sure Pittsburgh and Boston are still trying everything they can to get the best minor-leaguers they can. It wouldn't surprise me if Pittsburgh forced him into the deal.
