Is this how you wanted it, two different gifs?

BIG EASY, what program do you use to capture those?

I use Video DownloadHelper to capture the flash video files, then I use Pazera converter to convert them to an .mpg file, and then I use Photoshop CS3 to make them into .gif files.

Video DownloadHelper is a free Firefox extension DownloadHelper, and Pazera is a free .flv to avi/mpg converter Pazera.

I have CS3, but don't know how to make it into a .gif. Care to give me some directions?

Click File-->Import-->Video Frames to Layers-->select your video file and click Open

If its a short video and you want all of it, then select From Beginning to End

If you just want a bit piece, then you select Selected Range Only-->move the slider at bottom of the video screen and stop at the place where you want to start-->hold down the Shift key and move the slider and stop at the place that you want to end.

If you aren't going to edit any of the video, then you can check the Make Frame Animation box; other wise click OK.

After a few seconds you will have the portion of the video you selected into several layers ready to edit as you please.

Do you know how to make the layers into frames for animation?
If not, I can explain that for you but I'm afraid you'll have to wait until tomorrow, cuz I'm going to bed now. I'll be glad to fill you in on that in the morning if needed.

Wow, thanks a million. I've always been at a loss as to how to make Youtube .gifs, I usually just do print screen and cut out the picture in Paint, then paste in a JASC Animation Shop frame, but that's just tedious and pretty rough and as a result I rarely mess with it. Now let's see if I can get JASC Animation Shop to cooperate with .AVI files...

Not sure what files you use in JASC Animation Shop; but Panzera converts .flv to mpg, as well.

With some fooling around to find the right video codec, I got the .AVI to open in JASC Animation Shop 3.
