will take two officials to LSU and TAMU before deciding. this reeks of the staff asking him to lay off until they can evaluate him for a CO and surprisingly he is holding off. this is big time news for LSU

per scout

I'll be honest here, Michael is the kind of player I love to see play at LSU. It's completely obvious that he wants to play in Baton Rouge and he hasn't made it a secret.

It's hard to pick between him and Richardson but I'd love to have him.

I've read where Richardson has stated he is interested in being the "man" at tailback. He will get that opportunity apparently at BAMA, so if CM wants to come here I'm all for it.

It is no secret however, that TR is the more coveted of the two at this point by our staff, but it's still cool that a 5* would be happy being the 3rd running back taken if true.

i don't get it. this kid is by all indications a stud. he wants to be at LSU. it seems easy to me. offer the kid.

you would think Les learned his lesson about holding spots for players (TR in this case apparently) after a certain John Curtis running back bolted for the West Coast.

as the original post indicated, this is apparently no longer true. If he visits campus, all bets are off.

wow this is great news. as a long standing member of the c-mike fan club, i am excited about his potential of being apart of this class. i had mentally moved on b/c the coached seemed to have played their hand, but, in my opinion, this opens it back up and raises LSU's chances at this great player and great kid. i am really excited b/c lsu had no shot if he committed at the end of the month as previously thought. i am freaking excited about this new developement . aggy wont like this

Once the LSU staff get him in for a evaluation, I think it is a done deal..

I very very excited about this kid..

My only concern is whether it will affect Lache for next year, but I would hope not...

Like I said about 6 weeks ago gentlemen....the 5 star talent is on its way to Baton Rouge!!!

We might end up with 6 5 star players...the most we have ever signed in one year is 2.

He probably doesn't have elite top-end speed... but he's still in the high 4.4s. His major weapon is that he's got ridiculous change of direction. I honestly don't think I've seen a guy coming out of high school with his size (5'11" 205) who's as fast going into and coming out of his cuts.

As far as him changing position, I don't think that's a real option. In terms of the runningbacks we've got coming in, he's the guy that you would peg right now as being a top SEC talent and future NFL prospect (although Pratt and Ford are definitely not chopped liver ).

Calhoun however (4.31) will likely play DB and be a return specialist.

I hear what you are saying, but the senior season hasn't even started for these kids. It's not like LSU is holding spots at the last witching hour.

It's very early in the (recruiting) game for this class and just as an overview, it's quite a luxury to have a class almost filled up - this early.
