Need help with some hotel info for LSU-Alabama game in November. We have booked rooms at La Quinta on Acadian Thruway but I've heard they're not the greatest. Might be changing to Red Lion and Cambria Suites. Any advice? This is my family's first Tiger Stadium experience and we can't wait!!!!

Wish I could help you but I have never heard of Red Lion or Cambria Suites. It seems like the La Quinta was recently renovated....maybe someone else could confirm that.

Stay where you are if its that or the other two choices.

Are you serious? No, move. The Red Lion opened about two months ago and they just finished the Cambria on constitution. That laQuinta is about 20 years old...

Wouldn't advise if you're drinking but if you're concerned, you can drive a couple of miles West and stay in Port Allenjust over the bridge:
Actually, the Lobdell exit has some very decent ones and is where we stay.

Where is the Red Lion Inn?
I guess I'm too busy dealing with traffic to notice the Cambria Suites!

Tiger Golfer is correct. Guess I am not paying attention when I drive there. Although, there are worse places than the LaQuinta.

that red lion is a shite hole... the laquinta has been renovated and whatnot.

I have stayed at La Quinta before and was not impressed. But this was before Katrina and maybe it has been renovated.
Lately I have been staying at Quality Inn Suites on Bluebonnet. Nice courtyard and a cooked to order hot breakfast each morning. And reasonably priced.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to tailgaiting with everyone. Sister and brother-in-law coming from Pensacola for game. He's a Seminole fan and intends to cheer for Alabama.
But we're hardcore LSU and he doesn't have much of a chance.
