So just beginning to recover from the Covid year, let’s raise taxes on the folks with the largest employees/jobs. Guess I’m not surprised, but I just don’t get it. Can you give me so help making sense of this?

Then to recoup the deficit, it will get deferred to the consumer as well. I guess they just don’t have any sort of foresight or just DGAF. We will only tax the rich (but indirectly frick you over).

Why not just give them less in covid relief?
What’s the point of giving them relief, 90% of which is a bill filled with pork, to then ask for money back.
This is the most dysfunctional shite show I’ve ever seen.
All of this could have been avoided. And if you want to give businesses relief then LOWER their taxes.

I seriously don’t understand the logic of any person voting democrat unless they are basically dirt poor. Don’t get me wrong, there are some shitty Republicans in Washington but to voluntarily vote for you to make less money blows my mind

Punishment.
MMT theorists believe taxation is only necessary to remove money from the money supply. Outside of that, it isn't necessary.
Progressives use taxation as a punitive action. They're incapable of understanding who will pay for this extra corporate tax.

Communism/Socialism is a philosophy of the weak and poor. The wealthy people pushing it are those who benefit from the transfer of power.
People vote Democrat because they are incapable of understanding economics.

I like the corporate tax increase. Yes, it will get passed on to the consumer, but the good thing about that is that it's regressive. It impacts the poor more, since they spend far more of their income (proportionally) on consumer goods.
This regressive de facto tax will help mitigate how progressive (i.e. biased against the economically productive) the income tax is.

It all comes down to what’s left of the Democratic Party bowing down to the people on social media who literally speak a different language, simple as that. Most of those same people have no idea about basic economics and how it works. Let’s burn it all down because I’d be willing to bet the social media warriors will be the first to die when shite hits the fan, hopefully what’s left has a little common sense.
