Aaron is a lonely man, searching for purpose in a world where government and religion team to control society. In desperation for a confidant who would not inform of his disloyalty, he builds a dog. The faithful companion fails expectations, pushing Aaron to face his greatest fears. As the dog reveals the true mysteries of the universe, Aaron is forced to the point of ending his life.
When noncompliance brings you to the crossroad, I sing the Buttered Electrode.
Reality is what you choose to believe or are forced to accept. Perhaps the meaning of life has a simple answer void of a destination of ultimate bliss or damnation. If you’ve ever wondered: Why are we here?, this humble story reveals a possible truth.
I Sing the Buttered Electrode or: There’s no I in Dog, is a dystopian/bizarro/psychological/horror tale and 6,200 words long.
