Thinking of upgrading Ping G2 5 Wood

Is the technology progressed enough to help me hit better (spin control) or am I just wasting money.
Either way I am fine just want to be honest with myself if I am waiting money

No replacing G2 or g10 with more current model

You're gonna gain some distance. I just helped my brother in law finish off the bag and he was still playing G5 Driver & woods. He's a lefty but I got him a G410 Plus driver for $290, 14.5* 3 wood for $185, and a 19* 3 hybrid for $175.
He had been wanting to upgrade for a while and was ready to buy the G425s. I told him he could save quite a bit of money going with the 410 lineup

Also a lefty - updated driver and 3 wood and 4 hybrid to G400. Like them more consistent with driver for some reason (mental). I must have G5 not G2 as well on 5 wood.
Lefy G410 stock drying up might do g425 or sim2
