Looking to get something for the old man. He’s the furthest thing from gadget-y you can get but I’m looking at that Bushnell magnet speaker with audible gps. Looks cool, I want one. Anybody got one? Or any other ideas in the $150 range?

Only question I have about it is does it give you the distance from the remote or from the speaker? I assume the remote, right?

Whatever the volume is on is what it plays music and gives information is at so you can't really hear the GPS informations. I know 2 guys that bought them and they just use it as a speak and still use their rangefinder

Yeah, saw that in the reviews. The remote looks pretty simple so I’m guessing it’s just a 1click button that initiates the distances? No pause or volume buttons

I need a new way of doing things as well. I use my phone for distances. Tired of the music cutting out cause I got too far from the speaker when I walk to a ball. Ya know, 1st world problems and shite

Yeah. I use 18 birdies for my distances.
