Universal next Saturday, any park ticket advice?

4 tickets for two days, dual park with fast passes are $2000. Wife and I are taking my son and his friend…but we’re not really going TO Universal, my son has a football camp based out of the Cabana Bay resort.
Guessing I may just skip the parks all together, and let the wife go wonder around Harry Potter world between the two parks one day. Let the boys go to the park together one day by themselves…they’re 15.
Staying at Cabana Fri, Sat, and Sun (football sessions all three days, two on Sat)…then going to a Seaside rental to close out the summer, boys go to school that Friday.
I’d like for the family to have fun in Universal, I just don’t know how ‘worth’ it the tickets are. 1 day, two parks with fast pass is ~$400…let the wife do that Sat, then get the boys, and maybe her, tickets for one park on Sunday (football session ends at 1). So hard to price it all. I’m clearly confused.

It’s not cheap. But I don’t understand why you’re trying to force a theme park that you don’t think anyone will enjoy.
Maybe stay at their resort to get the Fast Pass free.

Cabana Bay is a Universal park, but it’s not high dollar enough to get the free fast passes. That’s were the football camp is based from though.
My wife’s a huge Harry Potter fan, and she wants to ride the train between parks.
My son hasn’t said one word about rides or anything, IDK.

Maybe just go all out for the parks for one day ?
You can def get your fill with one day w/ park hopper and express passes. I personally wouldn’t go without express pass but that’s me. You can utilize the single rider line to cut down some wait times if you don’t wanna get the express pass but y’all won’t get to ride anything together and sometimes it’s not that much faster than the regular line from my experience.

I agree with this. Do one day. Your kid seems old enough to skip a lot of the stuff in the park. You don’t know if he is interested in roller coasters which tells me y’all don’t know each other. Maybe ask him what he wants to do.

Agree with this but know that the 2 most popular rides are Velocicoaster and Hagrid’s and neither allow the express passes but they can do single riders or go early since you’re staying on property. Hagrid’s had a “virtual line” the last day we were there a week ago so we got on very quickly. I promise the 15 year olds will love it no matter how much time they spend. Oh and this was my first time but some advice on this board and my wife being on top of the itinerary saved us a lot of time when we went!

He likes rides when we take him to Disney, but they aren’t something on his radar. He’s very focused on being the best kicker at the camp, I took him to both grass and turf fields this weekend to practice.
