Any residential USVI/BVI experts know the process right now of going to the BVI's (foxxy's or JVD) from the USVI?

If you have to have negative test 3 days before traveling back etc. do we have any idea on how long that will last?

I'm about 90 days out from heading to USVI and I'm wanting to go to the BVI's but I don't think with the covid rules if it's possible. TIA.

Heading to st Thomas sapphire beach on Friday
Chartering a boat on Sunday
Cptn said it wasn’t worth the hassle to visit bvi for a day but worth it if staying for a week
Don’t know if this helps

we have a trip next summer and hoping these restrictions get relaxed. Have you looked into possibly a day trip to Spanish Virgin Islands? lot more open water to cross. just getting started looking at day trip plan Bs for us.

this is our hang up. We are going to spend time in the USVI, St. John..but wanted to make an day/evening trip over there.

Guess I'll just have to wait until next time. We have a pretty full schedule in St. John and don't have time to take 3 days to see BVI's.

I just got back from a week in the bvi. I flew into st Thomas then ferried over to Tortola to go through customs and Covid protocol. Definitely don’t do it for a day trip. The bvi will charge u $50 to do a rapid test per person plus the tax to visit. You would then have to do another Covid test to get back in the usvi.

Just take a private, small charter boat for the day from St Thomas, over to Soggy Dollar Bar at JVD.

No customs BS, they just anchor up on the beach.

No worries....mon.........

I'm pretty sure the fine was a big number for skipping customs pre covid. they may put your arse in jail currently if you pull that.

That is not true at all. You still have to check in at Great Harbour on JVD for a day trip.
