I don't think that Trump had anything about using chemical weapons on his own people as a campaign promise.

Had absolutely 0 to do with why we was over there. He was going to accept euros for oil instead of just US dollars.
It would have hurt the petrodollar, hurt the US economy, and worst of all (to our government) the federal reserve overlords bottom line.
I don't know why we lied about why we lynched saddam. We should have just said he was going to hurt the US economy.
