Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is accepting and will serve a six-game suspension to start the 2025 regular season, per sources.

The NFL and NFLPA are working to finalize the settlement, which will end Rice’s disciplinary limbo and make him eligible to return Week 7 vs. Las Vegas.

Micah Parsons traded to Packers.

Not huge for most fantasy leagues unless you play with IDP, but could have an impact elsewhere.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday and is expected to be on the field for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Thursday, Sept. 4, against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic. Brown has been dealing with a hamstring injury since early in August, and the Eagles have been playing it safe with their star wideout. The 28-year-old looked good while doing a pre-game workout last Friday before the preseason finale, and it appears that he's slowly being ramped up before next week's season opener. As long as he doesn't have a setback in his return to practice in the next week, fantasy managers should expect to have him in their starting lineups against Dallas. In two games against the Cowboys in 2024, Brown caught eight of his 12 targets for 145 yards and a touchdown. UPDATE: Brown practiced for a second straight day on Thursday.

Can't believe he keeps slipping to the end of the second round and even to the beginning of the 3rd.

Most fantasy relevant part of it is that it could make the Dallas D pretty bad, which is great news for the offensive guys production. Dak and Ceedee will have to keep scoring to keep pace. It's what made Joe/Jamarr so good last year. The inverse is true in KC, where their defense got elite, and so Mahomes and crew don't have to do as much.

Sources: The #Panthers are placing WR Jalen Coker on short-term IR after he injured his quad during Thursday’s practice.

Coker, who had an outstanding camp, will miss at least the first four games of the regular season — making the Hunter Renfrow signing that much more significant for Carolina.

Injuries won't keep A.J. Brown off the field for the Philadelphia Eagles' rivalry matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

When asked whether Brown, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, will play against the Cowboys on Thursday, Brown said "hell yeah," per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Same with that other idiot draft pick. They always talk a big game.

Eagles WR A.J. Brown, who missed a chunk of training camp with a hamstring issue, isn't even listed on the season's initial injury report. He's on track to face the #Cowboys on Thursday night.

Thank you everyone for letting him fall to me at the end of the 2nd round.

FantasyPros is saying that Kenneth Gainwell is listed as RB 2 behind Jaylen Warren (who the Steelers just signed to a two year extension).

I'm wondering if Kaleb Johnson sucks or maybe he's done something to get put in Tomlin's doghouse.

Either way, if you're drafting tonight (like me), maybe forget about about Johnson for now and take a flyer elsewhere.

I know he was struggling with pass protection, which would get him in Rodgers doghouse.

I've been shocked in every draft when Kaleb Johnson has gone multiple rounds ahead of Warren. To my knowledge, the Steelers never led on that Johnson had earned any significant timeshare, yet he consistently goes well ahead of the starter.

I'll wait every draft and let others draft Kaleb and RJ Harvey while I wait and nab their starters. RJ is in a better situation and is at least in a timeshare, but I think JK Dobbins is undervalued as he seems to be every year now.

Found this interesting. RB numbers to know for Week 1...

49% -- Jaylen Warren has never played more than 49% of the offensive snaps for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The way they are talking, don't be surprised if that changes.
22.1% -- Josh McDaniels' running backs have seen a 22% target share in his last three seasons calling plays. That gives TreVeyon Henderson enormous upside.
232 -- Frank Gore is the only running back to have more than 232 carries in a Greg Roman offense. Omarion Hampton will need a lot more than that to justify his ADP.
482 -- Saquon Barkley 482 touches last year are a red flag. You should expect a step back; the question is how big.
5.2 -- The Carolina Panthers allowed a league-worst 5.2 yards per rush attempt last year. It could be a good week for both Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne.
7 -- The Los Angeles Chargers allowed a league-low seven rushing touchdowns last year. That could limit Isiah Pacheco upside in Week 1.
8.1 -- J.K. Dobbins broke a tackle once every 8.1 rush attempts in 2024; only Derrick Henry was better by that metric.
5 -- Tyrone Tracy fumbled five times on 230 touches last year. If those resurface, Cam Skattebo could get an early opportunity to take the job.
3.4 -- D'Andre Swift averaged 3.4 catches per game the last time he was in Ben Johnson offense.
24.2 -- Tony Pollard averaged 24.2 touches per game in the games Tyjae Spears missed. It is a bad matchup, but Pollard should get all the work he can handle.

BIG NEWS
quote:

After taking a backseat to Najee Harris over the last three seasons, Jaylen Warren's time to shine for the Pittsburgh Steelers could finally be here.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Warren will be the team's "featured runner" this season over Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell.

"His progress has been very evident and he's to be congratulated," Tomlin said. "...Certainly he'll be our featured runner. Certainly you'll see [Kaleb Johnson/Kenneth Gainwell], but at what time and at what degree [will depend week-to-week]."

I grabbed Warren in both of my Redrafts. Even took him way above ADP as my RB3 in the one I just did because I was picking out of the 2 spot and wasn't sure he'd make it back. I think he's going to be the steal of the draft based on ADP.
