This. We had some jackass try this a couple years ago and the majority of us got our money back and dropped out of the league. I still haven't talked to the dude since then either.

No this absolutely wrong. The last however many years doesn't matter. The new commish should have done his job and set it to 6 at the beginning of the year.
Once a fantasy football season starts....changes are NOT made unless there is a unanimous or at minimum a majority vote when players have $ invested.
Never should you wake up to see that your commish made changes to the league overnight. That stuff is hashed out before the season starts.

Well you only have to beat 2 teams to win the championship. Now instead of having to beat 2 of the 1-4 placed teams you have to beat 2 of the 1-6 placed teams. This works in your favor.
If you are one seed, you have to beat 4 and then 2 or 3.
With the byes, you could theoretically have to beat the 5th and 6th placed teams. On paper it works to your advantage.
