FFB scoring variance via week-to-week matchups

i'm 2nd in total points, but only 7-6 (5th place)
3rd in total points is 1st with a 10-3 record
however, i am also the team with the fewest points against in the league (#1 PA had over 11% more points scored on him)
i don't even know how this is possible

I knocked our point leader out of the playoffs in a league yesterday. Told him I'd vote for when he proposed top6/bottom6 this off season

I'm 7-6 second most points scored and the 6 seed in the playoffs. And we're top 6 bottom 6

that's pretty weird, too
i just can't imagine how my season played out. i lost to some super hot and beat some super shitty teams with mediocre scores

My league's point leader finished 5-8. Started 5-0, followed that up with 0-8 and was eliminated from playoff contention 2 weeks ago. Weird how that works out sometimes.

I just joined a total points league this year without any head to head match-ups. Everyone plays through week 17. It is now my most favorite format and the payout is pretty nice, too.

well in terms of how variance is supposed to work
2nd in PF and last in PA should mean i ran away with the league, but instead i scraped by 7-6 and was in 5th place
it's a severe statistical aberration

It’s just the quirks of FF. I’m 3rd in total points and have scored over 120 points 4 weeks in a row and lost all 4 weeks because the team I was playing had the overall top performer. For example this week I went up against Tyreke. Backed into the playoffs with a 6-7 record.
