How y’all feel about the trade to Minnesota? Will he finally live up to the top 5 fantasy TE hype? Can’t be a bad thing to get out of Detroit.

Currently #5 for the season in my league.

Irv Smith just went on IR for Minnesota, so I believe he walks right in to the TE1 job, with a HUGE upgrade at QB. Can't be a bad thing.

Why? Detroit's offense is pretty good. They just can't stop anyone, which isn't a bad thing for fantasy.

His rankings are highly skewed thanks to the 35+ point outing a few weeks ago. Hasn’t broke 10 points all season other than that.

He got 11 points last week in a PPR league.
Regardless, I think this is a slight upgrade. He wasn't getting targets in Detroit even though Goff was throwing 30+ times per game. He was averaging 5 targets per game. That's a direct correlation to poor fantasy performance, overall.
Minnesota still has plenty of mouths to feed but they are consistently a better offense with more scoring opportunities.
It seems like a slightly above neutral move for fantasy owners, of which I am one.
