He had 1000 rushing yds last season

990 yards on 272 carries in 17 games isn’t impressive. That’s 3.6 YPC.

My bad. I didn’t realize you had a style points category in your leagues.

What a dumb statement. I said he was less than mediocre as a runner, you said you wouldn’t go that far.

3.6 YPC
58 YPG
A TD every 45 carries/every 3rd game

All of that is less than mediocre for a starting RB. He volumes his way to below average rushing production, but makes up for it with his receiving work.

I don’t care what his ypc or ypg are if he’s getting me 100 points rushing for the season on top of his receiving work.

Cool.

He’s still a below average runner, which is what I said in the first place.

Enough carries and anyone can get to 1000 yards.

3.6 YPC is awful.

He is just killing it tonight with his 7 Carries and 2 catches for -2 yards.

Thanks to the longest run of his career (by a wide margin), Rachaad’s YPC has skyrocketed all the way to……..

3.6, which matches his career YPC.

Can’t say he isn’t consistent.

3.6 YPC is well below average. He’s on pace for about 650 yards this season because he isn’t going to get the 2nd most carries in the league.

That is also well below average.

YPC is not an end all be all stat though. Yea his is low but some of that is a product of how he is used. He’s used as a between the tackles type of runner, they don’t really run a lot of edge type plays trying to break away, they are a plodding, power run type of team. The run sets up their play action

That’s because he’s a plodding, between the tackles type of runner.

Irving is at 5.6 YPC in the same offense.
