Yea in my 10 team keeper, I don’t have cmc but I went and got Mason as a possible bench stash once Mitchell went down.
It cost me 0 and I dropped an idp for him.
I have kyren Williams, Saquon, and Pacheco so just grabbed him as a stash, along with JK dobbins.

Well gives them a slight edge if jets game plan based on cmc in.
Also facing penalties of course they would want to cover it up.
It could also be Mason just excited and misstated what happened.
CMC has carried the injury tag all week so there is a world where they wouldn’t start him but not completely rule him out.
I don’t think the league punishes them in the end. Unless they can somehow get the rb coach and others to confirm Mason was right and they knew he was out. Should be easy enough to deny as long as a paper trail doesn’t exist.

The hets spend extra time preparing for him under the assumption he was playing.

Let’s play paper rock scissors.
I will tell you that I go 70% rock, 25% paper & 5% scissors when I play.
You take this knowledge and decide statistically your best odds are to go paper.
In the last moment before my tightly clenched fist meets my subtly shaky left hand, I split the index from the middle and flash a perfectly formed scissor.
CMC is the rock. What we didn’t know is that the running game was going to be really efficient with Jordan Mason too and the game plan was not massively different that it might be with CMC healthy, excluding some wrinkles with Deebo.
Was it deceptive? No idea. But the NFL has their rules for injuries for this specific reason.

So the jets prepare for one of the best players in the league, then find out that he’s OUT and they are somehow in a worse position? Lol
