Just thinking about dfs bball. On a single game setting you get to choose 5 players to fill 5 positions. (Obviously there are money constraints but do not factor that into this calculation ).
If you say picked 7 players you liked in that game.
How many combinations of 5 can you make out of 7?
There must be a formula for this type of thing.
Let’s say you had 8?
Anybody out there a math whiz?

7 choose 5 is 21 possible lineups, obviously some might be out of salary range though
8 choose 5 is 56
Google the amount of players you have “choose” as many as you can play to get the number
For example Google “12 choose 7” to get 792
It’s a statistics concept

How many options are added in 7 choose 5 if one of the positions is a CPT that gets 1.5 pts?
