Trade: AJ Green for Bell? (update 9/10/18)

I am debating whether to trade AJ Green to get Bell. I have been talking with a lot of people and the general consensus is they wouldn't touch bell with a 10 foot pole. Its a gamble but if he comes back before week 10 I think it may pay off at this price. Green for Bell was his offer, should I hit him with Baldwin for Bell?
QB: Wentz, Rivers
RB: Zeke, Collins, Drake, wilkins
WR: Allen, Green, Baldwin, Crabtree, Anderson
TE: Rudolph
UPDATE: he wants Green and Drake for Hogan and Bell.. Idk
UPDATE 9/10: he wants to trade AJ, Collins, and drake for Shady and Bell.

With that roster, I'd take that risk with Bell. But I believe in Baldwin this season and am in the minority on that.

would he do Baldwin for Bell?
If he's that leary of him, he might be willing to take it, and you can afford to take the risk with that roster

As someone who had AJ Green the last 2 years, get rid of that fricker. At least the last 2 seasons, he was always under his projections.

I got radio silence for about an hour after I offered baldwin for bell. he said "I don't know what to do. So I'm keeping quiet. I don't want to talk myself into a bad decision."
Think I should up the ante and offer Green instead of baldwin? or let him sit on Baldwin for a while?

How badly does he need a WR? Talk up Baldwin all you can and point out how bad the situation in Pitt looks with the OL talking shite about Bell if you want Bell that badly. Tell him how much he needs Baldwin and point out all of the ways he can win without Bell.
Point out how many targets have been vacated by Jimmy Graham leaving. Who do you think is going to get those targets? The #1 WR that Russell Wilson loves. There are a lot of redzone targets there for Baldwin to snatch.

trust me ive been trying all this lol. Also I was sure to let him know that I just checked ESPNs projected total fantasy points for the season, Bell's projection has already dropped close to 50 points.

I have both Baldwin and Bell on my team. I drafted Bell #2 overall and Baldwin in the middle rounds. Baldwin lasted longer than expected because he has been sitting out this pre season with a sore knee. I know I rolled the dice on Bell, but I have not given up hope yet.

Don't do that. The whole premise of the trade was to flip a WR for Bell to hopefully upgrade RBs, and if Bell doesn't play or is otherwise not good, your WRs are good enough to sustain the loss.
If you do this 2 for 2 trade, you're downgrading your WRs (though not as much as before since you'd get Hogan back) and if Bell ends up not working out, you're decimating your RB core. If Bell does work out, you get an upgrade at RB, but not as much as you would have otherwise.
I'd stick at Baldwin for Bell. Don't give in. If he absolutely won't do that and you're confident in Bell, I'd be fine with Green for Bell. If he still won't do it don't do the trade.

yeah that's what I was thinking. I don't think this trade is going to happen. He wants too much, he told me that if bell comes back in a week or two he will try to dump him for an RB1. I told him good luck trying to trade uncertainty and discourse in the locker room for sure thing top 10 RBs. I told him he is the one with all the risk right now (he has shady too who may get a suspension for legal trouble). If I don't get the trade I'm super confident in my team anyway. Just figured I could get bell on the low and take a good gamble on the season based on him coming back.
ETA: espn 2018 projections for flex players now has bell at #18... AJ green is #17. So at least I'm valuing bell correctly lol

If the guys reason for trading Bell is because he is "worried" ehy would he trade him for another player he would be worried about.

He might not. But Baldwin isn't at risk of not playing. Different type of risk than Bell.

If he will do Baldwin, Collins, and drake for shady and bell... should I pull the trigger? I feel like shady is a huge upgrade from collins and drake. I know it would kill my RB depth, but if Bell were to come back in the next couple of weeks, my RBs would be unstoppable.

Did you watch any of the Bills game? Their OL is absolutely awful. Shady is going to have a really rough year IMO
