I have to try Frank's for breakfast again. I have, three or four times and have been underwhelmed, especially with the biscuits. This place has to be better than I have experienced.

It's always been a business meeting, maybe I'm distracted.

Me too andouille. Never been impressed.

Anyone remember Mrs.Winners chicken and biscuits? Their chicken club breakfast biscuit can never be duplicated in my mind. Buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken breast, bacon, cheese, and a little white gravy. Damn. Those were the days. Late teens with not a care in the world.

gosh, im probably gonna take a beat down for this, but I HATE Franks...in fact, Id call it the worst breakfast in town... ESPECIALLY their biscuits...they are so bland...no flavor... I'd rather IHOP or WAFFLE HOUSE than franks in prarieville....Only thing decent (for breakfast) there is the mexican hashbrowns....now, im only speaking of the prarieville one...ive been multiple times and even had them cater our office breakfast many times and same, sorry results.... now, the one up airline is better for some reason....to be fair, I will add that I have had a few decent dinners there, and they did a great job with some crawfish boils in the banquet room in the back....

the best breakfast WAS a little diner on airline by a car dealership (and I think it IS a dealership now, they tore it down)....it was on the right before you got to FL BLVD... can't remember the name of it, but it was damn good....they tore it down about 3 years ago....

other than that, no real good breakfast places that I know about....Mason's brunch is fun

ACTUALLY...i know of a great breakfest! (or at least it used to be)...The sunday brunch in the atrium downtown... it is fantastic !

If you are talking about the Tiffin Inn...they tore that down quite a long time ago...but I sure got some great sobering breakfasts from that place....But now i have to go with franks...one of the best chicken fried steaks ever with that same white gravy...although I went to Chelses under the overpass for lunch one day and had one terrific totally home made chicken fried steak...hmmm...I must go agian.

That's right it took over the old Tiffin Inn (I think)...I'm really too young to remember...but i remember Martini talking about The Tiffin Inn and all his memories of the place.

"now, im only speaking of the prarieville one"

FWIW I have heard that the one there is not nearly as good as airline. I have never eaten at the one in prarieville.

I never ate there, but I remember the commercials they ran on the radio. I think it was on Buddy Songy's show. He'd describe daily specials and other items from their menu. As I recall the guy had a lisp.

Hell yeah that place was great. I miss it and also the Pitt Grills.

The Toddle Houses kicked arse as well.

Franks is ok in my opinion but I do prefer Christina's.

Samuels is good as well and by the way I saw in todays paper he died. Only 56. Shame. Nice guy.
