I think LaFonda is the most overrated place in Lafayette.

Yep, it's really good stuff. You find the best food on Moss Street. Penny Saver's hot dogs right next to the Benton's barbershop are the best chili dogs you'll ever eat, but you have to get like 6 of them to fill you up. They also have a Mexican place, I think it's called El Potrillo that's fantastic and cheap.

Around the Moss / Evangeline Thruway area. Don't go at night unless heavily armed. You'll get several of those "lookin me over" kinda glances!

I remember eating those MANY years ago. They used to have a special when they were about 5/$1 on a certain day of the week.

You don't have to be that scared of Moss Street, just don't frick with anyone and you'll be fine. Stay in your car and go through the drive thru. I don't suggest driving down Simcoe at night though.

They've gotten a lot more expensive but not any bigger. I think they're like $1 a chili dog now.

my mom used to live around the corner on randolph, you don't have anything to worry about over there around moss

head back up towards simcoe and it is a bit different but not too bad. the really bad areas in lafayette are over off of University

I like the fried rabbit also, but sometimes you get a piece or two in the batch that is ransid and just tastes frickn horrible. The only other thing I eat the is the FC and the grilled tuna dish. Frickn everclear marquiritas are the worst hangover.

Most parts of University don't seem too bad. Moss St has the projects but I used to live around that area and I was fine. Around Simcoe and the Thruway is where the crackwhores will approach you but sometime they're good for a laugh or two.
