the number 4 is ok but is about even with pancho's quality

the FC was made by the workers for themselves and someone asked for a piece. They enjoyed it so much that they asked the management to offer it off the menu. Eventually they put it on the menu but they usually serve it for lunch only

the everclear margaritas are awesome at 8pm but awful at 8AM

I always hear about Willie Mae's scotch house in New Orleans. I have never been yet. Is it as good as advertised or is it just a tourist thing? Hard to believe it is a tourist thing in the area it is located.

still love good ol' bone in dark meat spicy from Popeye's.

Two Sisters in NOLA off of Canal is also strong.

Also, Roscoe's in L.A. is good, but overpriced.

Very good, but I prefer Dunbar's fried chicken. I just wish they would re-open on Freret.

glass, try a plate lunch at Two Sisters Kitchen on N. Derbigny just off of Canal if you haven't already. Real deal soulfood.

It's definitely not just a tourist thing. It's the best I've ever had.

Someone told me Chicken King in Opelousas and Port Barre was good. I've never stopped at either. Anyone?

Also, Mouton's in Carencro/Arnaudville is great. Good potatoe logs and boudin balls too.

I've posted this before but I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome the chicken is at Big Mike's Smokehouse in Houma.

It's one of the few that I'll say is better than Popeye's

I don't know if it's worth making the trip to Houma for. But it's one of those things that if you're in the area and in the mood for that type of meal you should probably try.

As it turns out they use this recipe or brand of chicken so it's not their own in house stuff

But I don't care. It's still awesome.

It's still real to me damn it!

Even though it's in Texas, Babe's in the Dallas/Fort Worth area has THE best chicken I have ever had. Their mashed potatoes are so amazing also
