Never used Clamato before. I bet a 50/50 mix of clamato and tomato would be a good base too.

That's exactly what I think. I don't want tomatoes in my gumbo and I don't want fish in my Bloody Mary!

What about tomato in your jambalaya? I made a pot with some paste in it last night. I dont always make it with them but I do like a red jamby from time to time.

NO! (no offense- I just equate that with the stuff you're served at pseudocajun restaurants)

Haha I know what you mean. Ive never actually had someones homemade jamby with them but after havin it at the LSU fb games a couple times and really liking it I decided to try it out. Now probably half the time I make jamby I throw in a can of tamato paste when boiling right before the rice.

RJ- You have a valid point. I actually like a little bloody mary in my worchestershire sauce. However, a) I don't like clam juice, b) I don't like tomatoes in jambalaya and c) I'm a woman. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to me.

although worcestershire may be made with some fish...it doesnt taste like fish. It is not a mental thing for me that there is something fishy in my bloody mary, its the taste that seems wrong to me.

Add these two together and this is all you need for an awesome bloody mary.

If ever you are traveling on Hwy 90 in bayou country stop in at Frank's Lounge in Des Allemands. They have a pretty damn good one and put a few pickled beans in there too I used to stop every weekend on my way back to UNO while in college.

George's has a great bloody mary mix. I had one the last time I was there and it was delicious.

As for store bought, I like Tabasco and Mr & Mrs. T.
