martini -- i was at perkins rowe this weekend .. i saw in 225 magazine that texas de brazil was scheduled to open this month .. looked inside their space and the sheet rock is up .. dunno if they can open by the end of this month, but looks like they'll be open well before 2009 ..

It sucks. I have had it frozen from the grocery store and 2 years ago at the restaurant.

I think California Pizza Kitchen is worth the trip and is definitely better than Johnny's Pizza. I used to eat at CPK when I went to Bakersfield and always enjoyed the pizza and draft beer. Right across the street in Bakersfield was a place called BJ's Brewhouse that was also pretty solid.

FWIW, I still don't think CPK pizza can hold a candle to DeAngelo's pizza, but they are different kinds of pizza.
