Not sure there is such a thing unless there is a special going on something. I am way more satisfied drinking 5 really good but pricey beers than drinking 10 watered down crappy beers.

I go to flying saucer on the reg, and you can spend 40 bones on beer in a freaking heartbeat.

Valid OP. I'd probably go with a Pilsner Urquell or Budvar

Yeah, but if you go in with $40 as a budget... you can spend around $30 on beer and the rest as tax/tip and still get some good stuff.

I could get stupid drunk with $40, even drinking pretty decent beer.

It's not hard to do w/ the high ABV in some microbrews.

Yuengling. You can usually get it for the same price as Bud Light and other domestic crap.

PBR.

I'll still get wasted off that stuff even if I have $500 at the bar.

I gotcha...yeah I like it too. It's not bad, but I never think to grab it because I always perceive it to be more expensive.

Go to a place where they have dollar beers and get:

15 beers for you
2 mixed drinks for 2 different girls
1 shot for yourself just to set it off
10 dollar tip

Have the two girls meet you outside the bar after and let em duke it out.

There's a local place here where I could get 6 PITCHERS (the big ones) of PBR for $36.

Thats pretty cheap for normal places but they had a place in laffy back in the day called the loose caboose. Everyday specials were 50 cent pbr on draft and normal size pitchers of pbr for 3.50. they also had those sugary shots for 50 cents. I used to get throwed liked a javelin in that place regularly for less then ten dollars.

Your post sort of contradicts itself. You could have several pints of legit beer for 40 bucks.

As far as best bang for your buck, I think the Sierra Nevada beers are up there. Good beer, reasonably priced.

Would hardly qualify as a cheap beer in my book. But it's a great IPA.
