Absolutely gorgeous Darla! Very much in line with my tastes.

Of course save for that stupid bottom freezer fridge.

Thanks, OG.

Combo of old and new, sorta, very nice

Exactly what I was going for. Modern with a hint of vintage. I think they call it a "transitional" style. I didn't know you were so perceptive about details!

What color is the blue paint on the walls and from what vendor? TIA
The walls are Benjamin Moore Glass Slipper. The island is Sherwin Williams Sleepy Blue, and the cabinets and crown are SW Neutral Ground (not that you asked for those colors).

I posted in your other thread too. My wife and I are building a house. We are using the same exact countertops you chose as well as the same style/color backsplash. We were originally going to do the antique white cabinets, but my wife changed her mind and decided to go with the bright white. I will try to post some pics when we are finished.

Great looking kitchen, Darla. It seems like you got exactly what you wanted with few, if any, compromises.

I hope you like the Fantasy Brown as much as we do. I can't wait to see photos! I think bright white will look good, particularly if your slabs have some big streaks of white, which mine does. I did have much hesitation on the color of the cabinets, and wondered if I should have gone whiter because of that.

Thanks, G.

You know, we are very lucky that we could go for what we really wanted. There are any number of ways we could have cut corners, but we've waited a long time for this. Every time we considered replacing the laminate counters with granite and the vinyl floors with something else, I hesitated because I knew that I really wanted to knock down the wall between kitchen and den and I didn't want to spend the money twice. Not that we didn't make some changes and updates over the years, but not at great expense.

I'm very glad we waited until we could do it the way I always thought it should be done. tl;dr
